A Personal Assistant (P.A.) is required in the Cross Gates area to support T who has a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD and Dyslexia. He needs encouraging engagement to get off screens and out of the house, either for walks or local activities. He does not require support with personal care needs. T is a happy, chatty boy, with a lot of energy and likes computer games, lego, radios, electronics and animals. He must be supervised at all times due to his tendency of running off and potential challenging behaviours. T requires a P.A. for a total of 5 hours a week during term time, and 10 hours during school holidays. We anticipate 2 x 2.5 after school sessions (3 – 5:30) during term time, ideally Tuesdays and Wednesdays. During the holidays the working days can be flexible, however, T  needs to have things planned in advance, and therefore punctuality and reliability are essential in this role. During School holidays he will need 14 hours of support per week, and we can be flexible as to when this takes place. The hourly rate is £12.40ph. My son lives on a small farm and enjoys being outside. He also likes visiting places like Templenewsam Farm and Lotherton Hall. He likes telling you about things that he has done, his friends, family and those that are important to him. As a P.A. you will support him with his independence and in accessing his interests. He attends a Specialist free School and has a diagnosis of Autism and a Learning Disability.

Hours of work Term Time: 4 hours a week during term time delivered as 2 x 2 blocks. This can be flexible but must have a regular pattern.  School Holidays: 8 hours per week. During the holidays the working time can be flexible. We are looking for a friendly, understanding personal assistant to support our daughter to help her build live skills and access community and leisure activities.        About the employer   A happy teenager who loves Jigsaws, crystal art, games, puzzles and cooking.
