Interested in outdoor pursuits/activities and passionate to share your knowledge ? We are looking for an enthusiastic person who has an interest in the outdoors to support the lead group support worker with the planning and delivery of outdoor pursuits programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and empowering members to take part in all scheduled outdoor activities as independently as possible using a person-centered approach and ensuring member safety is paramount. Please note, this vacancy is a job share, providing support bi-weekly to the group.  The Outdoor Pursuits Group is a popular and large group that runs each Sunday. The group will have 1 group leader and 2 groups support workers, as well as volunteers.  The group follows a 12-week programme of activities exploring outdoor areas in and around Leeds. We are currently looking for students who are able to support the University’s Admissions Office activities over Confirmation & Clearing. This is to help us on A-level Results Day and on some days of the period before and after (19th July, then various dates between 18th August – 26th August).   Last year’s helpers told us how much they enjoyed talking to applicants on their results day and helping them make choices about their university career. Duties may include staffing information points, providing information and directing visitors around campus, working off-campus directing visitors to the open day and work ing in the halls of residences.
