I am a 31-year-old queer disabled woman, PhD student at Leeds Uni. I am neurodivergent (ADHD), and have cerebral palsy and ME/CFS, which impacts my energy levels, mobility, motor coordination, and executive function. I require a Personal Assistant to help me with various duties as and when during the week. This position is for a Trainee Solicitor in Joelson’s busy London office. The successful candidate will build on their existing legal knowledge by gaining an understanding of the practical implications of the law. They will also develop their legal skills, commercial and financial awareness, negotiation skills, drafting, advocacy, and client care skills. Our Training Principal, Daniel Swimer, will have overall responsibility for the training and will act as a guide and mentor throughout the two-year contract. In each seat there will also be a designated Supervisor, to oversee the Trainee Solicitor’s day-to-day work and provide support as necessary. In addition, the Trainee Solicitor will have a personal mentor for the duration of the contract, who will be a solicitor with several years’ post-qualification experience.
