We have an exciting opportunity that has arisen within our Health & Wellbeing project for a Group Support worker at our Connecting Lives group on Wednesday evenings each week. Connecting Lives group is a social group which enables members to access all of the great activities, restaurants and events that Leeds City Centre has to offer. Activities include going out for meals, visiting the cinema, going bowling and many other activities selected by the members. Your role will be to ensure all members are safe and empower them to engage and take part in all activities as independently as possible. Interested in outdoor pursuits/activities and passionate to share your knowledge ? We are looking for an enthusiastic person who has an interest in the outdoors to support the lead group support worker with the planning and delivery of outdoor pursuits programme. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting and empowering members to take part in all scheduled outdoor activities as independently as possible using a person-centered approach and ensuring member safety is paramount. Please note, this vacancy is a job share, providing support bi-weekly to the group.  The Outdoor Pursuits Group is a popular and large group that runs each Sunday. The group will have 1 group leader and 2 groups support workers, as well as volunteers.  The group follows a 12-week programme of activities exploring outdoor areas in and around Leeds.
