Joblink are pleased to recruiting a team of Residence Assistants to work across several University of Leeds student accommodation.

The role plays an important part in the turnaround and preparation of the University residencies for use by conference delegates, summer school attendees and of course preparing for the next intake of students in Sept 2022

What does the role involve?

The University provides accommodation for around 8000 students each year at sites on and off campus.
As a Residence Assistant you will be based in one, or several of the University Residence sites, working in a team, checking & preparing the accommodation for multiple use.

Some days can be demanding due to quick room turnaround. The role can be repetitive and also sometimes quite physical too. Having said this, students return year after year in the role, you will make great friends, learn new skills and enjoying being a key part of the Universities residential services team.

You will need:

• to be customer focused
• to have a flexible and adaptable approach to work
• work well in a team
• also have plenty of initiative and sometimes work with minimal supervision

*Please note this role require you to complete a basic DBS check (reimbursed by employer)

Key duties:

• Support checkout process including rubbish removal and condition check
• Carry out water hygiene Health & Safety procedures (full training provided)
• Support Pre-let process to include bed-making and restocking
• Light cleaning
• Check condition of rooms and kitchen reporting missing equipment, breakages etc
• Undertake general office admin duties where required
• Provide a friendly, warm welcome to new residents and guest throughout the summer
• Assist with guest check-ins and front house reception duties
• Basic maintenance
• Some basic ground maintenance including litter picking
• Other duties may be required depending on business demands

ONLY FULL TIME POSITIONS REMAINING

Location: On and off campus at various University of Leeds accommodation

Full time - 35 hours per week - 5 days over 7 (some weekends included and evenings)

Start date:  Compulsory in person training on 13th June.

Various start dates - 14th June, 4th July or Mid Aug

End date: End Sept/Early October 22 *

Pay

£9.50/hr
