Shades is a Yorkshire based marquee company with an unrivalled range of high quality sailcloth tents and stretch tents, to offer the perfect backdrop for any wedding, party or event. We also have a fantastic range of furniture available to hire, some of which is hand crafted to fit the current styles and trends.
We are based in Yorkshire and travel throughout the UK offering high quality marquees, furniture, theming and lighting for weddings, celebrations and corporate events. Our season starts soon and will last until October. We are looking for new staff to join our current team of full time and part time staff.
Key Responsibilities of the Role
This is an outside role and a physical job, but we work as a team to supply the best product to all our lovely brides and grooms!
To work and integrate with our existing experienced team of full time and casual staff.
To build and deconstruct marquee structures at designated site locations and ensure that all tasks allocated are accurately carried out in accordance with instruction and time frames set by the Lead Foreman.
To ensure procedures are followed (company and legislative) and Health & Safety rules are observed.
To take part in the cleaning of all equipment when required, as instructed by the senior team.
To park and drive vehicles appropriately, treating them and all company equipment with respect.
Work in the events industries can be useful but not essential. All training is given on site.
Ability to work as part of a team.
English as a first or second language as all marquee structures will be erected in the UK.
Clean UK Driving License would be beneficial to this role, but not essential. We are adding to our current driving team, and experience in Vans is useful but no additional license is necessary, and drivers would be on a higher pay grade.
To non drivers, lifts can be arranged from pre arranged pick-up and drop off points if necessary.
Confident, motivated and enthusiastic with high standards and the ability to deliver jobs on schedule. You’ll be responsible for delivering a great product and service to our clients who are often watching the whole build process. You must have a positive influence on your team and present our clients with a professional ‘can do’ attitude. You’ll need to be committed, punctual, trustworthy and fun.
