Job Description/Duties

Do you want to make a difference for a young person with autism? Would you enjoy supporting them to develop their independence and social skills? Are you able to commit 4 hours of your time each week term time, with an extra 4 hours in school holidays?

I am a 9-year-old boy with autism who enjoys active play, especially playing on my trampoline and going to the park. My autism means I can struggle to understand what can be expected of me. I enjoy sensory play. I would like to be able to enjoy activities outside of my home and school life, but I need support to be able to do this. I would love to go for walks in the woods and given the opportunity to play with leaves and sticks. I would also like to go swimming and to the Trampoline Park. I may find these tasks difficult and sometimes present with challenging behaviour when I am out of my comfort zone so I need someone who is patient and can support me at my own pace.

                                                                             You will:

·         Support me to take part in active and sensory play·         Support me in developing my confidence outdoors·         Accompany me to the park, woods, or other activities that I may enjoy
