Leeds University Union is a charity that helps over 38,000 students love their time at Leeds. Located at the heart of campus, the Union is a space to meet people, make new friends and get involved.
When we launched our Strategic Plan in 2018, a core strand was our mission focussed on ‘Innovating in Digital and Service delivery’.
This has led to the creation of our Digital Union Upgrade programme, including projects that aim to transform how we interact with students and provide our services.
As listening to and engaging with students is at the heart of everything we do, we are creating a board to:
We’re looking for a range of students that can represent our members and as such, there is no requirement to have technical experience. What’s important is that we find creative and enthusiastic individuals who wish to work with other Advisory Board members, the Student Executive and senior LUU staff to help shape our digital programme.
The ideal candidate would be able to commit to a 2 hour meeting, 5 times per academic year with preparation and planning time in between. Lunch will be provided.
Whilst the position is unpaid, participants will among the first to be notified about any paid opportunities associated with projects in the programme. These may include testing, acting as a student champion/ambassador, help & support during roll-out phases etc.
The main benefits of participating are the knowledge and experience gained by being part of a large digital transformation project and the chance to leave a lasting legacy here at Leeds.
Closing date: Midnight Friday 14 February 2020
Informal interviews to be arranged on an ad-hoc basis
