Copywriters wanted for sports and gambling content. Knowledge of these areas would be a major advantage whilst we are especially interested in people with knowledge of horse racing, sports betting in general and online casinos.
The ability to work independently and provide copy punctually and to set guidelines and deadlines is essential. Applicants must have excellent written skills and the ability to research and analyse a given topic before producing original copy of a high quality on the specified subject.
The work could include but is not limited to: betting previews and tips for sporting events, match reports, betting guides (for example on bet types, rules, or strategy), and reviews of online bookmakers and casinos.
Pay is usually 1.2p per word, which equates to £6 per 500 word article. We would typically expect 500 words to take between 20 minutes and 40 minutes. Based on our lowest rate that equates to the following: 20 minutes = £18 per hour, 30 minutes = £12 per hour, 40 minutes = £9 per hour. We sometimes have work available at the higher rate of 1.8p per word though this may be more complex.
Work is flexible and completed from home with a minimum commitment of around 2000 words per week required but much more work available if you have time. We are looking for people to start as soon as possible and the work is ongoing. Hours are determined by yourself. All work will have deadlines but these will be agreed in advance and often are flexible.
To apply please email (firstname.lastname@example.org) us with a brief explanation of why you think you are suitable for the position. Let us know what areas you are most comfortable writing about and what experience you have. Also please advise roughly how many words you would be interested in writing per week, though we can be flexible with this when you are busy, or have exams or holidays.
We usually operate a system of a paid trial whereby you would send us one piece so we can assess your ability and suitability. You would be paid at the full rate for this. Subsequent pay is at the start of the month for work completed the previous month.
