Job Description/Duties

We’re a fast-growing technology company which has developed an interactive smartphone quiz platform. We primarily supply the licensed trade and our mission is to a) get people excited about quizzing and b) get people down to their local pub. We pride ourselves on innovation in an industry which is currently undergoing a technological revolution and are looking to recruit an intern to assist with our marketing requirements.

We are looking for an undergraduate student with great energy, creative flair and self-motivation. The role will focus on supporting the Sales & Marketing Team to help drive sales, increase customer retention, improve gameplay and help build the KwizzBit brand.

This will involve a variety of tasks which will give the candidate invaluable experience within the day-to-day workings of a marketing department; including writing our weekly quiz content, social media, e-mail marketing and PPC.

As a small team, the candidate will also gain valuable experience into how we develop and move the product forward as well as being encouraged to voice their creative ideas which may help take the company to the next level. Being able to take the initiative and manage their own workload is a must.

The role will be on an ongoing position, starting at 1 day per week for now (Wednesdays), with the potential to develop into a larger role in the future. This is a paid position.

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Writing weekly content for our quiz platform.

You will also gain experience:

  • Assisting in planning and producing social media content
  • Helping develop the brand voice through social media community management
  • Assisting in designing e-mail marketing campaigns
  • Managing the day-to-day maintenance of PPC campaigns
  • Researching new industry trends and competitors
  • Coming up with new creative ideas across all marketing channels
  • Completing other ad-hoc administrative marketing duties.

Candidate requirements:

  • Must be enrolled in a university/college course. However, studying Marketing/Business is not essential and we welcome those who study within other faculties
  • Passionate about tech, marketing and all things digital
  • Familiarity with computer software and social media platforms
  • Self-motivated with the ability to take the initiative and manage their own time
  • A creative mindset, not afraid to think outside of the box
  • Excellent grasp of the English language
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Strong desire to learn.

Desirable (but not required):

  • Experience working within the pub industry
  • Experience using video editing software
  • Experience using Adobe or other design packages
  • Experience using Google Ads.
