Leeds University Union is a charity that helps over 38,000 students love their time at Leeds. Located at the heart of campus, the Union is a space to meet people, make new friends and get involved.
Six elected students are the leaders of our organisation, backed by volunteers and staff. A lot happens in our building, but it’s also a hub for activity across campus, throughout Leeds and beyond. By providing opportunities for development, support when things go wrong and representation to create change on issues that matter, our aim is to make a real difference.
We have a multitude of venues at LUU, including 3 nightclubs, two theatres, several conferencing rooms and dance studios, as well as use of the Refectory; our flagship 2100 capacity venue. Our award winning Venues host some of the best gigs and club nights in Leeds and our Freshers’ & Summer Balls are the biggest in the UK. We are entering an exciting period of change following the extensive redevelopment of our new spaces, including the Pyramid Theatre, a new 200 capacity in-the-round multi-purpose arts space.
We need highly talented, skilled and motivated individuals to help us provide the best possible experience to all our customers and clients. We are interested particularly in people with experience in other venues.
Your role will be to get the best out of our venues by providing technical support (light and sound) in the set-up, use and operation of the technical equipment.
Please note that your application should state how you meet the criteria listed within the person specification.
