We are seeking an experienced Videographer to assist creating video content about the use and guidance of AI for academics
You will help us build video scripts and production guidelines for a sector wide project on Discipline Specific Generative AI (GenAI) guidance development, coordinated through Research Libraries UK (RLUK).
Main duties, requirements, and essential skills
Across the Higher Education sector, there is a need for developing further understanding for academic colleagues about the impact of GenAI for their discipline or for higher education. In the spirit of developing information in a simple and digestible way, we want to build a series of videos and top 10 tips style documents, which introduces GenAI to academic and wider staff through the voices of other academic staff and leaders in higher education.
We also want to incorporate student voice in here, through a series of videos focussed on student voice.
The videos would need to be filmed across 6-8 higher education institutions within the UK, and thus we are looking for someone who can help us build guidelines on how best to do that across the institutions for consistency and support. The staff member would also be responsible for buildings scripts in a way that when the videos are integrated together, they would deliver a cohesive feel to this work.
We anticipate that the hours would vary between these 3-4 weeks significantly, and we can work highly flexibly with the right person for the role. Previous experience of video production, script development, production guidelines would be an essential criterion for this project. This is an exciting project and a great opportunity to be part of a national initiative.
Main duties
· Work with the Library to develop a consistent set of video production guidelines that can be used by other institutions.
· Work with the Library to develop scripts that capture the key messages that we need to deliver as outcomes.
· Work with us in developing effective approaches towards post-capture integration of videos.
· Any other activities that may be identified during the project.
Requirements
· Previous experience of video guideline development, video production.
· Effective communicator.
What are the standard working hours?
No standard working hours. We anticipate a maximum of 40 working hours to be spent on the project. Apart from one or two initial meetings (which can be in person or virtual), the person may be asked to attend additional meetings which will be highlighted in advance to them.
Likely duration of the temporary role?
3-4 weeks, flexible hours per week, ranging between 6 and 10.
