Joblink are recruiting a Chef de partie.
As Production Chef you will assist the Head Chef with the preparation, cooking and service of meals. You will help ensure that customer needs are met at all times and liaise with front of house staff. You will work on a rota basis covering evenings and weekends.
Main duties and responsibilities
Under the instruction of the Food Beverage and Events Manager/ Executive Chef / Head Chef assist with the preparation, cooking, and service of all food items, produced within the kitchen
In the absence of line managers ensure that food is presented as specified and at the times requested by the client.
Respond to specific dietary requests / special requirements, adapting menu provision as necessary.
Ensure that the needs of the customer are met at all times, that all compliments /complaints are reported to the Food Beverage and Events Manager / Executive Chef / Head Chef
Advise service staff of dish description, including contents and portion allocation
Ensure adequate supply of all food items necessary to supply customer demands Confidential Page 2 February 18
Produce food to the standard set by the department and the Food Beverage and Events Manager /Executive Chef / Head Chef
Ensure all food items are labelled and stored, in accordance with the University Food Safety Policy
Assist with food production in other Central Catering locations as required
Essential
Qualification C.I.E.H Level 2 Certificate in Food/ Recognised Catering qualification
Experience of food production
Experience of food preparation in a large scale catering operation
Experience of supervising staff
Skilled in people management
SHIFTS
Shifts are casual throughout the year.
LOCATION
Shifts will take place at various catering venues in and around Leeds which Joblink regularly assists.
