Joblink are recruiting Kitchen porters to work at a variety of catering venues on and off campus.
As a Kitchen Porter you play a key back of house role supporting the kitchen staff in food prep, kitchen hygiene and clearing down after service. Ideally you will have experience working as a KP, or have some professional kitchen experience in the past.
Duties and Responsibilities
-Working effectively as part of the team
-Providing all customers with an excellent level of service
-Cleaning kitchen equipment in a safe manner
-Cleaning kitchen fabric including walls and machinery
-Using dispensing equipment provided make up chemical solutions in line with C.O.S.H.H. regulations
-Working in the pan wash area manually cleaning pans, trays and utensils required by the kitchen team
-Removing rubbish to external bins at regular intervals
-Ensuring all cleaning equipment is clean prior and after use and is dried and stored in the appropriate area
-Checking that the mechanical dishwasher is working correctly and is correctly assembled for operation
-Operating the mechanical dishwasher, ensuring that all items are clean after washing and are placed in the appropriate storage area after cleaning
-Emptying and cleaning the dishwasher at the end of service
-Cleaning the dishwasher area including underneath and behind the equipment
-Clearing tables in the catering seating areas and returning eating utensils and crockery to the dishwasher area for cleaning

Shifts are casual throughout the year.
LOCATION
Shifts will take place at various catering venues in and around Leeds which Joblink regularly assists.
