Do you have an interest in intercultural activities and enhancing the student experience? Would you like to be part of a team delivering activities for students from all over the world?

An exciting opportunity has arisen at LUU to expand our team with some new part time Global Community Assistants. You will work as a team to facilitate social and cultural activities or events, and contribute to other student experience projects. You will help international students love their time in Leeds, and support UK and international students alike to get the most from being at a global university.

This role will give you experience of developing an events programme, project management and communication including team working, hosting and reporting. These are all skills that will help your future employability.

The role is particularly suitable for international students so if you are not quite sure what a students’ union is, or are interested but have questions, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us. We are a friendly team and will be very happy to talk to you and answer any questions you have.

While we are particularly interested in receiving applications from international students, UK students who have significant cross-cultural experience, including living or studying abroad or experience of supporting people from different backgrounds whose first language may not be English, are also encouraged to apply.

Skype interviews are available for this role, so don’t worry if you’re not in Leeds yet, we’d still love to hear from you.

In your application, please explain how you meet the person specification and what you can bring to the team here at LUU.

To apply, please visit our website using the link provided.

Please note that we do not accept CVs.

If you haven't heard from us within four weeks of the closing date then, unfortunately, you haven't been successful on this occasion.

Closing date:  9am Thursday 22 August 2019
Interviews:  Friday 20 September 2019

LUU is committed to equality and valuing diversity within its employees. We particularly welcome applications from ethnic minority, male and international candidates who are currently underrepresented in these roles at LUU.
