MEDLIFE is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that partners with low-income communities in Latin America and Africa to improve their access to medicine, education, and community development. The organization achieves its impact by running mobile clinics, a comprehensive patient follow-up care program, educational workshops, and infrastructure projects to propel community development. For fifteen years, MEDLIFE has worked with students at 220 academic institutions, providing them with volunteering and leadership opportunities.

Medicine, Education, and Development for Low-Income Families Everywhere (MEDLIFE) is seeking motivated students who are passionate about community organizing and global health. Shadow our community development and health professional teams in Lima, Peru as you learn about MEDLIFE's work and how to bring it home to your campus.  As a community development intern, you will shadow our teams of community organizers and healthcare professionals in Lima as they:  Plan and execute development projects Visit patients in our follow-up care program Coordinate with local community leaders You will also learn skills to organize your on-campus community to educate, engage and advocate for global health and development issues . Upon completion of the program, interns will be expected to continue action at their home universities.
