Escapism Bar Group was founded in 2004 by husband and wife team Phil and Mel Harrison. Since the opening of their first bar Mean Eyed Cat, they have gone on to open six other unique bars which all offer something totally different in Leeds.

We've always believed that going to a bar should be escapism from the norm, the daily grind and the crazy world we live in. That's why we always try to create a unique experience when we design a bar which will in turn create memories for our guests, whether it be tropical escapism at Tiki Hideaway or a Deep South dive bar experience at the Mean Eyed Cat.

The Escapism Bar Group family are Call Lane Social, Tiki Hideaway, Cuckoo, Brooklyn Bar, The Maven, Verve and Mean Eyed Cat.
