Leeds University Union is an ambitious organisation, with a highly regarded reputation within the student union movement.

We exist to ensure our 38,000 student members love their time at Leeds and we strive to achieve this ambition through offering a wide range of services through our 600 staff members and 1000 volunteers.

No two days at LUU are ever the same in our newly refurbished building, and our students bring vibrancy to our organisation. With over 300 student societies, we strive to offer a wide array of activities for students to get involved in and get the most out of their university experience.

Created through a collaboration between Leeds University Union and digital marketing agency Epiphany, it aims to redefine graduate recruitment, cutting across charities, university, and the digital sector. Digi offers its employees and a network of student volunteers the opportunity to upskill, lead and collaborate in digital marketing. This is a unique chance to gain entrepreneurial experience running a micro-agency, to help you bridge the gap between your education and the start of your career. Now in its second year, LUU and Epiphany will recruit two graduates to the roles of Digital Agency Associates. As one of these two associates you will have the opportunity to complete a 12 month fixed term contract in one of the most innovative digital marketing schemes available in the UK. You will develop your own skills in digital marketing, while establishing and supporting a vibrant team of student volunteers. You will improve your own digital marketing expertise, create innovative engagement solutions for students, LUU, and external clients, and generate work for Digi. As a Digital Agency Associate you will gain experience in an extensive number of disciplines within digital marketing through training delivered by industry leading experts at Epiphany. Potential disciplines could include but are not limited to search engine optimisation (SEO), pay-per-click (PPC) display advertising, conversion rate optimisation (CRO), account management, copywriting, public relations (PR) and earned media and project management. You will get an opportunity to work on real-life projects which will test your skills across all aspects of digital marketing with expert guidance, training and support from Leeds University Union and Epiphany. The role of International Communications Assistant will support the work of our Marketing team, helping us to communicate effectively with international students at Leeds, especially as they arrive here for the first time. You will develop and create content for our WeChat account and work on the WeChat strategy to ensure international students are engaged with and supported by LUU. Joblink’s main focus is to provide paid employment opportunities to current students and recent graduates. The role of Democracy Project Worker is an exciting opportunity to work with students in making change at their Union, their University and in the City of Leeds. You’ll work within the Political Engagement Team (Democracy Manager, Political Engagement Manager and Forum Facilitator), and support other teams across LUU such as the Academic Representation and Community teams on key projects. It will allow you to see and support a participative and deliberative democracy (that’s completely unlike traditional political structures!).
