Research Analyst Role at SPQR Communications

We are looking for a bright, strategically orientated, digital thinker and analyst to join our team.

 

They will be responsible for driving insight around consumer understanding and behaviour, garnering actionable insights around the world of digital and the channels and technology that digital innovation provides.

 

They will need to work within our insight identification process and gather insight to drive that process. Over time this methodology will be then cascaded across a team build in conjunction with the successful candidate.

 

Specifics include:

 

Research: Experience of offline and online quant and qual research techniques; managing specialist partners, driving insight and interpreting results.

 

Web-based: A working knowledge of Google analytics and other web-based analytic tools, developing methodologies that can provide actionable insight and can be replicated across Client base over time.

 

Desk research: Proven experience and understanding of what to find and where to find it both on and offline.

 

Initiative-based: A strong sense of initiative to identify and plan new areas of insight for future application and development.

Job description

 

We are looking for a full-time research analyst to help drive insight and understanding into the team around both existing and potential new business needs. In order to use these insights for business improvement, this candidate should feel comfortable using their analysis to tell a story.

 

The primary focus of this role is to make a strong contribution to our key business objectives and support the team with issues and category insights, these could include:

 

  • Map out the current communications landscape, identifying sector and competitor communication strategies using on and offline qualitative and quantitative measures.
  • Provide gap analysis with evidence and proof points, demonstrating opportunities in communication approaches.
  • Assist in the reporting, analysis and evaluation of corporate communication campaigns
  • Help the team sell the resultant ideas and features to clients and potentially the media

Responsibilities

  • Conduct fact-based research and analysis
  • Assist with publication of research commentaries and papers
  • Evaluate new and established research sources
  • Prepare materials that summarise data and draw conclusions to support key business discussions

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Expertise with Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Previous quantitative and qualitative research experience
